Uses:

1.Metal ion analysis reagent: As a sensitive color reagent, it is mainly used for qualitative and quantitative analysis of 

calcium ions (Ca ² ⁺), strontium ions (Sr ² ⁺), and barium ions (Ba ² ⁺) in detection solutions. 

It can also react with some other metal ions (such as lead and copper) to produce characteristic colors.

2.Chemical indicator: used as an acid-base indicator or complexometric titration indicator in analytical chemistry, 

indicating the endpoint of a reaction by the significant change in color when it binds to metal ions in different pH environments.

3.Biochemical research applications: It can be used as a precursor or intermediate for synthesizing certain calcium ion 

fluorescent probes (such as Rhod-2), for fluorescence labeling and detection of calcium ion concentration in cells or organisms.

4.Dye intermediates: Due to their specific conjugated chromophore structure, 

they can be used as chemical intermediates in organic synthesis to prepare certain functional dyes or pigments.
