Calcium sulfate hemihydrate

Application:

1. Building materials field

As the core raw material of building materials such as gypsum board, gypsum block, gypsum line, etc.

It has fire resistance, sound insulation, and thermal insulation properties. 

Alpha type calcium sulfate hemihydrate is used for high-strength gypsum board (compressive strength ≥ 25MPa), 

while beta type is used as a setting agent for self leveling mortar.

2. Medical and dental applications

Medical plaster bandage: used for fracture fixation, providing stable support after hardening in the presence of water.

Artificial bone material: As a biocompatible carrier, it promotes bone tissue repair.

Dental model: The surface roughness of the mold made of alpha type is ≤ 1.6 μ m, with high accuracy.

3. Chemical and industrial applications

Blockers/adhesives: regulate chemical reaction rates and enhance material adhesion.

Moisture absorbent and polishing powder: used for gas drying and surface polishing.

Paper making filler: improves paper strength and whiteness.

4. Agriculture and Environmental Protection

Soil amendment: Reduce soil pH and improve physical properties (apply 1-2 tons per hectare).

Wastewater treatment: used for solid waste treatment and heavy metal adsorption.

5. Other fields

Food additive: used as a tofu coagulant or candy ingredient.

Cosmetics and toothpaste: used as abrasives or fillers.
