Properties:White or off white crystalline or crystalline powder; The distinctive odor of compounds with thiol groups (similar to garlic). 

                  Easy to dissolve in alkaline solution, slightly soluble in methanol, insoluble in water. Gradually oxidize in the air.

Uses：

1.It is an intermediate of the detoxifying drug sodium dimercaptosuccinate.

2.Heavy metal detoxifying agents. (lead/mercury/arsenic/copper/nickel poisoning)

3.A selective masking agent for cadmium, used for EDTA titration of zinc.
